NOW CASTING FOR “FACING EAST”
Stillspeaking Theatre is currently casting for the L.A. premiere of Facing East by Carol Lynn Pearson. Donald Shenk, dir. Rehearsals start June 2, 2008. Performances run July 11 through August 3, 2008 (Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays) at the theatre.
Seeking – ALEX: Imposing Mormon husband/father, mid to late 50’s, realizing his culpability in his gay son’s suicide, wide range of emotions; RUTH: Mormon wife/mother, 50’s, mourning son’s death in her own way, strongly convicted, deeply anguished, often angry; MARCUS: Deceased son’s gay partner, early 30’s, mourning love of his life, emotional, confrontational, but compassionate.
